1.How important is it to learn
English in the world?
The reason is because English is essential when it comes to finding work,
English will give us access to a better education and the possibility of a
better job, our job opportunities will multiply as soon as we master the
language; Both in government areas and in multinational companies,
regardless of your field of work, English will always bring you advantages
when it comes to promoting or accessing another job, helping you to
improve your current employment situation. Another important reason to
learn English is because it will show you other cultures, lifestyles and
different ways of thinking. You will be able to meet new and interesting
people and understand their customs. In this way, it will give you the
opportunity to see yourself with different eyes, and perhaps you will
discover aspects of yourself or your culture that you had not reconsidered
before.

3. How much has Colombia been
concerned about teaching and
implementing the English language
in the country?
Today it is clear that the command of a single language is not enough in
an interconnected world. The ability to be bilingual or multilingual is
increasingly necessary for study, work and coexistence. Colombia has
had a long tradition of including foreign languages, such as English,
French, German, and Italian in the school curriculum, so that high school
students have a pluralistic vision of the world and come into contact with
other ways of thinking and expressing themselves , so that this
recognition of diversity leads to a recognition of tolerance and respect for
the other .The introduction of the teaching of a language is directly related
to academic performance and responds to three needs: management of
other areas of the curriculum, the requirement of the universities to be
able to carry out higher studies and the demands of the labor market, in
technology, science and culture.

methodologies been implemented in
Granada?
Yes, in Granada, like whole world, learn English has gained a great
importance, we can notice this by the large number of brand new
academies which have as goal; bring our municipality to a high level of
English, projecting itself towards bilingualism. Besides this, lately multiple
programs have been developed by the government for learning this
language by levels. All of this have as focus contribute to bilingualism at
the national level, beginning from our town.
5. Is Granada almost bilingual
already? And how can we see the
teaching of English language
learning in our local context?
In my opinion, Granada is still not bilingual because there are few
scenarios that focus on teaching this language as such, there is still a
need for people to be interested in learning more, because lately the
number of young people who are taking classes and have I have been
taking a good level of English but without it being practiced daily, it will not
be completely polished.
