Expected learning outcomes
Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
• Explain the attributes of successful entrepreneurs;
• Describe how entrepreneurs analyze business
opportunities;
• Discuss marketing, finance and other
management issues that contribute to successful
entrepreneurship; and
• Develop a business plan.
Course contents
• The course has 10 topics:
• These includes: Introduction to entrepreneurship;
evaluation of entrepreneurial opportunities;
marketing requirements, assessing and selecting a
suitable market; forms of business organizations;
resource needs for entrepreneurship; business
plan development; and current issues in
entrepreneurship.
Discussion forums and Devotions
• Discussion forums are meant for facilitating/aiding
interaction between the students and students
and students and course instructor. They also
support (add) the course learning materials.
• Devotions are meant to help us reflect on the
word of God. The word of God encourage us
during this process of taking this course and other
courses.
NB-It is important for us to participate in these
forums as this enhances our understanding of the
course and the word of God.
Assignments

• There 2 Short Answer CATS in this course:


• Short Answer CAT 1 (week 5)-This will constitute
20 short answer questions (multiple choice and
true and false questions). Respondus Lockdown
Browser and Monitor will be used for the purpose
of proctoring the test.
• Short Answer CAT 2 (week 10)-This will constitute
20 short answer questions (multiple choice and
true and false). Respondus Lockdown Browser and
Monitor will be used for the purpose of proctoring
the test.

• Course notes-Uploaded per topic per week.
• Videos-Links provided under Discussion forums
and assignments.
• E-journal articles-links provided.
• E-books-links provided.
