Launching of Electric Bus in UNITEN in January 2020

 Two Units UNITEN EV Bus was officiated by Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, CEO of TNB on 24
January 2020.
 Objective Introduction of EV Bus in UNITEN
• To introduce EV bus as an efficient and clean green technology.
• To Support Government Initiative in reducing GHG Emission
• To provide advance transportation services as part of UNITEN Smart UniverCity Initiative.

 TNB has collaborated with SESB to

bring in 10 TNB-owned gensets and 24

the state election on 26 September
 TNB Genset has assigned to counting
centres as a backup of power supply to
ensure no power disruption during the
election.

Delivery of Two (2) Electric Buses for Shuttle Services around Klang Valley

 The 2 unit EV buses has arrived in TNB in November 2020 after going through multiple mandatory factory
and road tests in China
 The EV buses was manufactured in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China by Higer Bus Company Limited (Higer).
 The manufacturing process of the buses was completed in October 2020.
 The infrastructure for the charging stations in HQ was completed in September 2020.
 Currently, the EV buses was put under further road tests and practical training for the drivers to get ready
for operation .
 The specifications of the EV Bus was based on benchmarking and researches on the latest vehicle
technologies and available EV buses in operations around the world.
