 A.How to make the sound
/əʊ/ :
/əʊ/ is a long sound. It moves from
/ə/ to /ʊ/. Look at the diagram.Listen
and say a sound.
Step 1: Relax your lips and tongue to make a
sound /ə/.
Step 2: Put your lips rounded and forward a
little,pull back of your tongue up to make a
sound /ʊ/.
NOTE : When you say the sound /əʊ/
by itself, you say the letter O.
