Sociolinguistics
Sociolinguistics is the field that studies the relationship between language and society, between the
uses of language and the social structures in which the  users of language live.
Sociolinguistics assumes:
1. Every language has its own variations
2. Every dialect is also varied
3. Human speech is also varied depending on whom he speaks to
4. Language is closely related to social system and social structure
5. Language is a system which is not separated from the characteristics of its speakers, and the
sociocultural values applied by its speakers
Knowledge of language
Knowing language is knowing word more and how to
combined that, know the meaning and how we use to
communication possible.
When two or more people communicate with each other in
speech, we can call the system of communication that they
employ a code. In most cases that code will be something we
may also want to call a language.
Variation
Variation is characteristic of language. The language we use in everyday
living is remarkably varied.
Some factor why we use variation:

Language and Society
There are possible relationship between language and society, such as social
structure, can be influence linguistic structure or behavior. For example in
phenomena, young children speak differently from older children, and
children speak differently mature adults. research that shows that the variety
of languages spoken by speakers reflects such things as their regional,
social, or ethnic origin and perhaps even their gender; and other studies
showing that certain ways of speaking, choice of words, and even rules for
conversation are in fact largely determined by certain social conditions.
Sociolinguistics and the sociology of language

sociolinguistics is 'the study of language in relation to society,' whereas the

sociology of language is 'the study of society in relation to language.' In
other words, in sociolinguistics we study language and society in order to
know as much as we can about what language is, and in the sociology of
language we reverse the course of our interest.
