HAVE YOU EVER
HEARD OF THIS
EVENT IN OUR
HISTORY?
Is this event known by the
Filipinos today?
I don’t think so. As a student who went through
elementary and high school, this event was never
taught to me. This is the first time that I’ve heard
this event in our history. Only recently this was
addressed by President Duterte in ASEAN summit
to counter-attack the criticism of US in Pres.
Duterte’s war on drugs. Because of this, several
reports and article were published about this
Thing that you learned about this
event :
The things that I learned after making this presentation is when the time of America came in Philippines, the time where
the other country like America occupied our country, it was so hard for us to resist them because they are the rule and
they have power to rule us, and if you disobey them they can kill you without knowing others. So base on my report, the
way the Americans threat the Moros is not really good they there are some good things happen when the Americans came
here in Philippines but they are also some bad things happen while they here, one example for that is what happen on
Bud Dajo. The Americans came to Philippines to teach us their tradition religion and other customs, we welcome them
with warm hearth, but some of them feel that they are higher to us and they can control our moves, just like in Solo or
bud Dajo where they make some rules that the other Moros don’t want to they force the Moros to submit to them until
they rebilled to Americans. After the American know about the rebelled they force them to surrender until the massacre
start and thousand of Moros die in that massacre between American and Moros. The lesson I learned in this event was
don’t be slave in other people because you’re the only one who's going to suffered and don’t be so kind in other people
because they will abused your kindness, an this kind of situation always happening in our environment. Some of people
try go get your trust and in the end they will betray you.
