Superior Ventilation From Experience

Basic Mode Ventilation

Ventilation Modes: Invasive vs. Non invasive

 Invasive ventilation modes provide a range of patient support, from fully
controlled mechanical breaths to pressure supported breaths for
spontaneously breathing patients.Delivered through an artificial airway
(e.g.,endotracheal tube), which is inserted into the patient's trachea.

 Non-invasive ventilation modes are intended to be used for spontaneously

breathing patients only. Delivered using positive-pressure ventilation
through
an accessory such as a nasal mask or mouthpiece

Parameter Set
> VT Set : Volum tidal set pengaturan berapa volum
yang akan di deliver ke pasien
> IPPV Set : Set pengaturan limit minimum volum yang
akan ddi berikan ke pasien dengan limit
Adult 10-18, pediatric 20

Expirasi
> I:E : Rasio perbandingan waktu Inspirasi &
Exspirasi
> PEAK Set : Batasan presur max setelah pressure
sudah tercapai.
Volume Control Ventilation (A/C
VC)

> A control mode where a set amount of

volume is delivered during each
mandatory breath. The volume is
delivered using a constant flow delivered
over a specific time ( Tidal Volume ).
The amount of pressure
required to deliver the tidal volume will
vary according to the compliance and
resistance of the patient’s lungs and thorax
and connecting circuitry.
Pressure Control Ventilation
(A/C PC)
A control mode where a set pressure
level is delivered during each
mandatory breath. The pressure is
delivered using a decelerating flow
and the breath is held for a set
amount of time. The amount of
volume provided will vary according
to the compliance of the patient’s
lungs.
Synchronized Intermittent
Mandatory Ventilation – Volume
(SIMV-VC)
A combination control / support
mode that provides a set number of
volume control breaths to the patient
per minute. Between the mandatory
breaths the patient can breathe
spontaneously at whatever rate,
volume and timing that they desire.
Pressure support can be used to
support the spontaneous breaths.
