TYPES OF FOREST •
CONSERVATION
 Control over forest fire.
 Afforestation and reforestation.
 Regulated and planned cutting of trees.
This is why most great civilization
lived near rivers/in forests
Civilizations developed around rivers because
their waters provided places to hunt and fish and
the animals and humans drank and utilized water
from the nearby water bodies. Also, as the rivers
flooded, the lands around them became fertile.
This allowed them to support agriculture.

Civilizations developed in forests because getting

recourse like water, wood, soil, water, hunting
was easy since wild animals and fish were near
them and stones were available to make tools
and fire.
The importance of forest conservation
They remove air pollutants like carbon monoxide,
nitrogen, and sulfur. Using their stomata, which are
essentially pores, trees absorb all kinds of gases
and particles, filtering them from the air. Forest
conservation can play an important role in
reducing air pollution around the world. Over 1.5 billion people depend on forest
resources for their livelihoods. These
resources provide food, fuel, medicine,
shelter, and more. Forests are also essential
as a backup plan for when crops don’t do
well. According to the World Wildlife Fund,

these forests were gone, it would cause

supports a huge variety of animal life we also
depend on for food. Without forests, these
animals would die, leaving us with
significantly limited options. There are
already people in the world struggling with
food insecurity because of deforestation.
