Degree
A. Using Direct Method/ Direct Integration
Given:
𝐴≠0
;
0 (3)
A Solution of (3) will be obtained by equating each factor in parentheses to zero
and solving the resulting equation for y in terms of x any solution obtained,
when substitute to (3) will satisfy it and is equal to zero.
RULES:
How to solve differential equation of first order second degree:
1. Factor the given equation or use the quadratic formula to factor
2. Equate each factor equal to zero
3. Solve each of the two differential equation using direct integration to find the
solution
Examples:
1.
= =
2.
1
3 .
4.
-y
Iny =x+ c
5.
Iny=-4x+ c
