Breakfast
There are many differences in eating habits between the
north and the south. The breakfast of Southerners is mainly
salty, generally light, and the north is mainly sweet. In the
breakfast of northerners, the more common are basically
pasta, and the taste and style are more diversified, but there
are relatively few breakfast made of rice or other
ingredients. In the breakfast of northerners, there are many
cakes, steamed stuffed buns or some noodles, and each
region has different pasta, but they are generally light.
Breakfast in the South has more kinds of ingredients and
tastes good. There are pasta, soup, porridge and protein
foods. Even a breakfast may have dozens of small plates. It
is precisely because there are too many kinds that breakfast
in the South has a wider choice than breakfast in the north.

Lunch
Lunch has different views for people in different countries. It is the meal with
the most food intake in a day, and it is also considered by the Chinese as the
most important meal, so the Chinese think they should get enough energy at
noon,, they will eat as full as possible. The staple food of Chinese people, rice
and noodles, will make blood sugar soar, and more blood will gather in the
digestive system, resulting in brain hypoxia and sleepiness. So Chinese people
have the habit of taking a nap after lunch. In Europe and the United States, they
usually have little lunch, and some people don't even eat it, but the dinner is
very rich. Some people think that if they eat too much lunch, they may not be
able to work in the afternoon. And most people rarely eat staple food at noon.
Their lunch is usually just a sandwich, a piece of chocolate and an apple. They
still have the habit of drinking coffee, so they don't have the habit of sleeping at
noon.Similarly, Florentine people have a very, very long lunch time. Usually, they
can see the staff eating near the London bar in the old city at 3 p.m. Barcelona
people's lunch time, large and small restaurants are full of people. The local ham
and Iberian ham are sliced. They are prepared quickly and can be eaten when
they are picked up. Many people have a little wine for lunch. The open-air cafe
on the avenue is almost always occupied.
Examples of Lunch
Dinner
Dinner is also served in the north, because, for example, in
winter, the weather in most parts of the north is relatively
cold, and more food is needed to replenish enough calories.
A large plate of meat on the table makes people very eager.
Of course, dinner will also be served with some vegetarian
dishes, so that the nutrition can be balanced!

The dinner of most families in the south will be simple, just

meat and meat, or even all vegetarian dishes, which is not
enough compared to the dinner in the north. After watching
the comparison of the diet between the south and the north,
many southerners envy the generosity of eating meat in the
north, don't you think?
Examples of dinner
Taste
Northerners' dishes, on the other hand, are colorful and tasty. The most important
feature is to use local materials and pay attention to heat. The raw materials for
cooking in the north are not as rich as those in the south, and there are not too many
patterns, but even very common things, chefs in the north can make different
tastes. In cooking dishes, it is difficult for northerners to compete with southerners
in terms of materials, knife work and color, but only the heat, northerners have the
capital and confidence to compete. For example, Beijing Quanjude roast duck and
DongLaiShun instant boiled meat pay great attention to the materials and workers
for roasting. Even the northern folk often have amazing "roast square". For example,
a whole pig arm with thin skin and tender meat more than feet square is hung on
the rack with an iron hook and burned with charcoal fire, sometimes with martial
fire and sometimes with slow fire. The skin is charred and the meat is cooked after
baking for several hours. In addition to eating rice, noodles, fish and meat, there are
differences between the South and the north. There are also great differences in
cooking habits, tastes and styles. For example, porridge is millet porridge and rice
porridge in the north, with a few dates at most. But southerners not only put
vegetables in porridge, but also ham and changed eggs. They put a drum of brain in
it, and even zongzi are wrapped with sausages and changed eggs. In addition,
southerners like sweet and northerners like salty. Southerners like to fry vegetables
separately, while northerners prefer one pot boiling and so on.
Example of taste
Cooking
For a long time, northerners in China have formed the habit of
eating salty food. North China is located in a warm temperate zone.
It is cold and dry in winter, mild and rainy in summer, and the
annual temperature difference is large. In the past, only a small
amount of vegetables were difficult to survive the winter, so
northerners pickled the vegetables and enjoyed them slowly. In this
way, most people in the north have formed the habit of eating salty
food. So the food made by northerners is mainly saltySoutherners'
dishes are sweet. For example, they put a lot of sugar in making
fried eel paste and a lot of sugar in the meat filling of steamed
stuffed buns, which is unacceptable to northerners. Most residents
in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Yunnan and other places also like sweets.
The south is rainy and has good light and heat conditions. It is rich
in sugarcane. Compared with the north, vegetables are several crops
a year. Southerners are "surrounded" by sugars, so they naturally
develop the habit of eating sweets. Will put a lot of spices in the
production process. It's not that northerners don't like sweet, but
sugar was rare in the past. Northerners had to use "salty" instead of
"sweet" to adjust their taste. Although there is no shortage of
"sugar" in the north, once the taste is formed, it can not be changed
overnight. I believe that with the development of society and the
continuation of time, this relative trend of salty and sweet will
weaken.

About food price and amount of food bought

In winter in the south, many people like to

buy a meal. However, in the north, they like
to buy food for a month. Vegetables bought
in the South may not be sold to you in the
north. For example, if you want to buy corn,
the northern boss won't sell it at all,
because they sell many kilograms at a time.
The second difference is the price of food.
In the north, dishes are basically cheap, but
in the south, dishes are basically more
expensive than in the north. So when a
southerner goes to the north to buy
vegetables. He will find that the dishes in
the north are not only diverse, but also
large and cheap.
