 Classroomscreen’s purpose, as stated on their website: “Support your class activities, stimulate
engagement and help your students get to work by using the intuitive tools of Classroomscreen.”
 The website is free for anyone to use. Upgrades can be purchased.

 Classroomscreen can be used by teachers of students with disabilities. Classroomscreen has a lot of
valuable tools that can help students with disabilities feel included in the classroom, such as a text tool
that can easily aid the teacher with implement captions or a transcript onto imported videos from one’s
device or another website. The media tool can also be implemented to add an audio description of the
lesson for students who are visually impaired.

Using classroom screen, preparing for class is quick and simple.
PIXTON
HTTPS://WWW.PIXTON.COM/COMIC-MAKER-FOR-HOME-LEARNING
INFORMATION FROM: ITZI GARCIA CONTRERAS

 Pixton’s purpose, as stated on their website is to “turn [students] into comic creators. Pixton cures
classroom boredom and empowers every student, by unleashing their artistic and writing potential.”
 Pixton is amazing because it allows students to create their own comics. This is perfect for any k-12
classroom, students can create a historical person’s biography, the life of a water molecule, an
instructional pamphlet, the possibilities are endless. Pixton is also amazing because there is a lack of
ethnic and cultural diversity in books, especially children’s books. Students can make a book that caters
especially to them, and they have so many creative opportunities during the process of creating their
book. Pixton is so inclusive, ethnically, and culturally. As someone who falls under the non-binary
spectrum, I was so surprised and happy to see they had an option to make a non-binary avatar for
students, but that came with an issue. I found there was only the option to choose from the genders
“male” or “female”, and then once they chose their assigned gender, they had access to the “non-binary”
character options.
 Pixton is free, protects student information, and easy to use. Upgrades can be purchased.
PIXTON EXAMPLE
While using Pixton is free, many of the features are not. However, the free version still has useful
functions.
 From Book Creator’s website: “Education is changing. Bring

BOOK creativity to your classroom with Book Creator, the one app
you need for any subject or grade level.”
CREATOR  Book Creator is like Pixton, but it does not have the avatar
HTTPS://BOOKCREA option. It allows teachers to create books or use books from
TOR.COM/
other educators’ “libraries, add them to their own libraries,
and share them with their students. Book Creator gives
INFORMATION FROM:
teachers the opportunity to create any book they need for their
ITZI GARCIA
CONTRERAS classroom. It includes options such as text, images, drawing
tools, import options, etc. that can make the process of
creating a book a lot more simple. There is a maximum of 40
books allowed, which may force the teacher to limit their
collection. These books can be shared with students by
inviting them to join their teacher's Book Creator "library."
BOOK CREATOR EXAMPLE
Book Creator was a lot more user-friendly than Pixton. Since the features are a lot simpler on Book Creator, there
wasn’t a pop-up constantly telling me that I had to pay for the tools I wanted to use.

videos and more to capture learning in a portfolio.

rating to student work to get a real-time understanding of

objectives, inform instruction, and save time on reporting
 It is free.
 The essence of myShakespeare is similar to the No Fear
Shakespeare book set. Shakespeare is a very difficult
topic for many kids, and this website aims to translate
the Bard's works into modern day English as well as
offer in question and interviews with actors,
performances, and pop up notes.
 “The myShakespeare learning tools are FREE for
everyone! Encourage deeper classroom engagement and
gain a richer understanding of Shakespeare’s most
popular plays by creating a free account.” MYSHAKESPEARE

MYSHAKESPEARE   I believe that for an English teacher, this would turn an

CONT. otherwise stale and boring reading of a famous play such as

Macbeth or Midsummer Night into an amazingly inclusive
story that kids can truly become immersed in. The ability to
hear the actors thoughts, as well as read an onscreen
translation and watch the scenes acted out truly appeal to
every learning style, and if I become an English teacher, I
would most certainly use this software, as it could do
amazing things for my kids comprehension of the Bard.
 Padlet is a digital tool that can help teachers and

PADLET students in class and beyond by offering a single place

for a notice board. That's at its most basic. This digital
INFORMATION FROM: KETEVAN notice board can feature images, links, videos, and
FERRERA documents, all collated on a "wall" that can be made
public or private. This means that not only can teachers
post on the wall but so too can students.
 Padlet can be used by students and by teachers. With
Padlet, you can create an online post-it board that you
can share with any student or teacher you want. Just
give them the unique Padlet link. Padlet allows you to
insert ideas anonymously or with your name. I have
used Padlet before and found it easy to use and useful.
As a teacher, I would defiantly use it.
 Best of all, it’s free!
