of survival. They had to provide the
materials to meet their needs and
survival.

This serve as their wealth.------ family’s


wealth was based on the textiles the family
owned and these were given as dowry gifts
at weddings and as offerings to the gods.

These strips designs were called gulot- meaning
“cutter of heads”

KALINGA MEN who killed two or more had


elaborate pattern applied to their arms and chests.
