TESTING HIP FLEXION
• Hip flexion can be tested with the patient in a
seated or supine position.
• With the patient in the supine position, the
practitioner forces the hip into extension,
applying force over the distal anterior thigh.
• With the patient in a sitting position, the
hip is flexed while the practitioner attempts
to extend the knee.
