Egyptian fashion

• Clothes
“schenti” was worn by Egyptians men and women
The rich people used to wear a linen which was of fine quality
There cloths was of thin fabric because of hot weather.
Another traditional dress named “kalasiris” was worn by Egyptians
men and women in which the Sleeves were removeable mainly
because the sleeves had animal skin and they could not perform any
reglious activity with animal skin on them
The cloths also stated their religious rank
Nobleman
Short kilt, pleated and belted; shoulder-length
hair; necklace.

Simple sheath dress with wide shoulder straps; Old Kingdom Middle Kingdom New Kingdom

• Cleopatra used the bright green paste on her lower
eyelids and blue eye shadow on upper eyelids.
• Sometimes she adds pyrite flecks made from ground
lapis lazuli stone.
• For kajal she used black kohl (mixture of powdered lead
sulfide and animal fat to darken eyebrows and lashes).
• For lipsticks and brush she used red ochre ( type of clay
colored red by iron oxide).
• She was the first lady who introduce makeup in this
world.

Egyptian coin with precious metals).
• The Jewelry was bright color and often made
from pottery.
• Cleopatra wore massive, golden headdresses and
snake shaped armbands.
• Most of Cleopatra’s jewelry were made from gold,
because its stays shiny and was easy to work with.
• The jewelry of Cleopatra is little bit different in
movie and in real.

their sandals.
• Sandals were mostly used by kings and queen at that
time.
• The design of sandals of Cleopatra were different in
movies and in real pictures.
Wadjet

• Wadjet was said to be the matron and protector of Lower Egypt,


and upon unification with Upper Egypt, the joint protector and
patron of all of Egypt. Wadjet was closely associated in ancient
Egyptian religion with the Eye of Ra, a powerful protective deity.
