Differently Abled Persons.)

THE PROBLEM AND SETTING

For many years, the disabled community has been secluded from our every day
surroundings due to severe impairments and lack of adaptable environments. This
is an issue that has fortunately begun to see progress in the early education systems
taking place throughout the Philippines. In more recent years we have seen an
increased involvement of school systems providing inclusion programs at the
beginning stages of children’s development. Unfortunately architecture has not
fully embraced this issue in order to provide spaces that are mindful of this
diversely unique population of children.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
 The overall objective of the project is to design a community friendly center
that focuses on the comfort of differently abled persons all while offering
them training and learning opportunities that can help them discover how
architecture can change people’s lives.
 The proposed project proposal is located at Barangay Bulaon Resettlement,
situated at San Fernando Pampanga. The project shall consist of basic
facilities such as learning classrooms, training facilities to enhanced the
students ability furthermore in terms of livelihood programs to be offered.
 The project will be a low rise building thus shall conform on the BP 344
considerations.

DESIGNING LOW COST HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
WITH COMMUNAL GARDENS

THE PROBLEM AND SETTING

 According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the world currently produces enough
food for everyone, but the challenge is overcoming inequities caused by lack of access, poor
agricultural management practices, dwindling water resources, changing water patterns and lack of
knowledge about potential adaptive measures- all of which create food insecurity and loss of
livelihoods among the most vulnerable populations.

 The target users are the Villa Maria Aeta community, located at the municipality of Porac, which is
a landlocked area situated at Central Luzon, Region 3.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION

 The proposed project shall include spaces for communal interactions for food
production and an adequate livelihood learning facilities.
 The project does not only provide healthier, sustainable food for consumers but
also to help educate the community with regards to sustainable food production
for future needs.
 This study will not go deeply into its scientific process but rather focus more on
the architectural details and construction of the facility.

THE PROBLEM
On a global scale, poor access to health and social welfare services for indigenous
populations has threatened their overall well-being, especially those living in remote
or peripheral areas. World Health Organization (WHO) reported indigenous peoples
including Aetas to be highly vulnerable to parasitic infections, particularly STH.
Aetas are one of the main indigenous groups in the Philippines, inhabited more than
50 over 78 provinces. Indigenous groups including Aetas were reported to be highly
vulnerable to parasitic infections particularly STH. It Results revealed that the
community lacks the basic human needs and services such as water, food, shelter,
education, and health service.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION AND SETTING
 The proposed project is located at Villa Maria, Porac Pampanga. The target
users are the residents of the Aeta community.
 The project shall consist of standard and basic space requirements of a
health care center. The project shall conform with post pandemic
considerations.
 The project aims to provide a comfortable, meaningful and good quality of
life by proposing a health care center for the community. Given that the
community has problems with regards to health services and the lack of
good transportation, the project fits on it.
