information (data) in order to increase our understanding of
the phenomenon about which we are concerned or
interested.”

• Research ideally is a careful unbiased investigation of a


problem (Clifford woody)
• Research is simply a systematic and refined
technique of thinking, employing specialized tools,
instruments and procedures in order to obtain a
more adequate solution of a problem that would be
possible under ordinary means.

• It starts with a problem, collects data of facts,


analysis them critically searches decisions based on
the actual evidence.
• Research is an honest, exhaustive, intelligent
searching for facts and their meaning or implications
with reference to given problem.
