Once upon a time, in a far away land, their was a tribe called Paa that is ruled by Atos.

1
He had a wife named Sapin, but died after giving birth to their daughter, Sapin Atos. He grieved
for almost a year for the lost of his wife, wherein he forgot to take care of his own daughter.

2
One day Sapin Atos got very sick. Atos panicked after seeing his daughter’s foot full of unknown bruises. He
rushed to the physician of his tribe, he doesn’t know what to do. Thankfully his daughter survived, but the
physician advised him that Sapin should not let her feet get dirty to avoid complications.

3
That day Atos becomes very protective to Sapin, he gave all his attention to his daughter. Sapin Atos grew up
without even experiencing stepping on the ground. She can’t go outside of their big kubo and can only roomed
around with the help of her slaves.

4
On her 18th birthday, her father surprisingly asked her about her wish. She was speechless at first, but still
gained courage to tell her father that she want to go outside. Her father got angry and told her she can’t go
outside. She will die if she go outside and her father can’t afford to lose her. Sapin cried, she was tired of
listening to those words. She want to stand for herself.

5
“Do you know father, how it feels living here inside for 18 years? You don’t! cause unlike me you’re normal. Sometimes, I think you
make me live like this because you blame me of mothers death. All my life, I just dreamed to go outside but you didn’t even listen. You
always tell me that you loved me and can’t afford to lose me but where is that love afterall? I can’t feel it, if you love me, you should
have find ways to make my only dream come true.” She called her slaves to get her, but before she leave she told her father, “I’d
rather die doing the things I want than living my life without even experiencing it.” She left his father speechless.

6
Atos was left full of realization, it was the first time Sapin told him about what she really felt. He realized in that
moment that everything he did was only for his own good, and not for his daughter. Because of his fear to be
left again, he locked her in a room without even thinking that maybe her daughter will wish one day to live
normally. He blame himself for not doing something even though he had the power to make her daughter’s
wish came true.

7
Atos want to make things right, he called his slaves right away and told them to tell everyone in the tribe that
who ever can make something that can protect his daughters foot will be rewarded. Many people came to Atos
to show what they made, but most of them got rejected.

8
Weeks later Bakya went to Atos and showed him a foot protection made up of wood. He was amazed and tried
it but he felt uncomfortable, so he rejected it.

9
Another day came, a man named Sanilas went to him and showed a footwear made up of rubber. It has the same design with Bakya’s
footwear and the reason why he was not that amazed. He tried it and felt comfortable, the footwear was just so light which is perfect
for his daughter, because of his extreme happiness he didn’t notice that he already jumped. He was about to accept Sanilas made
footwear when he noticed a dirt on his foot. In that moment he realized that Sanilas footwear was too open for his daughter. He
rejected it and got a bright a idea.

10
He called Bakya to joined with Sanilas to make a perfect footwear for his daughter, he knows they will be a perfect match
since Bakya was good in making designs and Sanilas was good at choosing good materials for the product. He told them
what kind of footwear they will make. After three days Bakya and Sanilas came back. Atos notice that they are not
barefoot, he smile and realized that those foot protection could also be used by his people with or without foot illness.

11
Bakya and Sanilas gave to Atos the footwear that he requested. The moment he saw it, he unconsciously utter
“SAPIN ATOS” it’s a kind of foot protection that was made up with garments and rubber, it covers the whole
foot, he knew that this was the one for his daughter. Sapin on the other hand heard it, she immediately called
her slaves and went to his father.

12
As she came she was surprised of what she saw, her father walk towards her, and give her the foot protection.
“I’m sorry my child, you can now stand on your own.” Atos was emotional while saying those words. Sapin told
her slaves to put her down. As she step her foot to the ground she felt so happy, she immediately hug his father
and said sorry for what she did.

13
Atos gave Bakya and Sanilas the reward he promised. He asked them what will be the name of the foot protection,
“sapin atos” they said in chorus but later called it sapatos (shoes). On that day Atos intruduced the foot protection to his
people. He called all of those things sapin sa paa as a resemblance to his daughter and his tribe. Paa tribe become known
of their sapin sa paa and become the supplier of other tribes, from that day people are no longer walking barefoot.
