INTRODUCTION

• Autodesk Revit software is a BIM application for authoring parametric 3D models that generate
geometry with embedded information for the design and construction of buildings and
infrastructure.

• Autodesk Revit is a BIM software used for architects, landscape architects, structural engineers,
mechanical, electrical and plumbing(MEP) engineers, designers and contractors.

• It is from these intelligent models that plans, sections, elevations, perspectives, details, and
schedules—all of the necessary instruments to document the design of a building— can be derived.

• Revit gives the opportunity to more easily input, manage, and export the project data for project
coordination and execution.
LITERATURE RIVIEW
OBJECTIVE

 Revit Architecture software empowers with the powerful features of Revit.

 Revit aims to make participants more productive by giving them the ability to produce drawings and
redefine images of buildings and help navigate user interface, architectural objects such as floor,
walls, roofs, windows, and stairs.
METHODOLOGY

Open the architecture project template, interface will be appeared as shown in the figure 1 .

Figure 1 : Interface
ELEVATION AND LEVELS

• Select SOUTH elevation, default two levels, level 1 and level 2 will be created. Make the distance between
two levels is 2’0” and rename it as 1.Ground level and 2.Ground floor.

• Create three more levels using level command rename them as 3.First floor 4.Terrace plan and 5.Head room
slab and distance between the levels is 10’6” , 10’6” and 8’0” respectively.

Figure 2. South elevation and Levels

CREATION OF GROUND & FIRST FLOOR
• Building area : 31’X50’
• Create main walls in 1.Ground level, main walls and interior walls using Wall(WA) command in
the 2.Ground floor.
• Main walls : Basic wall generic 0’9”
• Interior walls : Basic wall generic 0’4.5”

Figure 3. Ground level main walls Figure 4. ground floor main & interior walls
• Create slab for ground level using Floor command.
• Slab : Floor generic 0’6”

Figure 5. Main walls, interior walls & Ground level slab

DOOR, WINDOW & VENTILATION
GROUND FLOOR
• Insert doors in 2. Ground floor for Drawing room, Dining room, Two bedrooms and Two
washrooms.
• Insert windows in 2. Ground floor Drawing room, Two bedrooms and kitchen.
• Insert ventilation for Two bathrooms.

FIRST FLOOR

• Insert doors for Living room, Three bedrooms and Two washrooms.
• Insert windows for Living room and Three bedrooms.
• Ventilation for Two washrooms .

MATERIALS USED

 Doors : Main doors

M door int single 3 panel vert wood 3’0”X7’0”
Washroom doors
M door int single flush panel wood 2.5’0”X7’0”
 Windows : Window casement double awning double 1200X1250mm
 Ventilators : M window louvers 610X610mm
GROUND AND FIRST FLOOR FURNITURE

• Click on component command , place a component. Refer load family for components.
• Place beds, storages, cupboards, table and chair in bedrooms.
• Place dinning table and sink in dinning hall.
• Water closet and sinks in washrooms.
• Stove top, fridge and sink in kitchen.
• Sofa in drawing room and living room.

STAIRS AND RAILING

• Stair command is used for the stair. Specified the dimensions as 0’7” max riser and 0’11” tread.
• Stairs is placed by clicking at the one end and on another end.
• Railing Glass panel bottom fill is used.

FIRST FLOOR SLAB

• By using floor command, create closed area with the boundary line or rectangular box then finish.
• Floor generic 0’6” slab was created.

TERRACE, HEAD ROOM & RAILING
• Floor command is used for the terrace slab. Floor generic 0’6’’.
• Head room is at a height of 8’0” from the terrace plan.
• Railing guardrails pipe is used for the terrace railing

EXTERIOR DESIGN AND ROAD
• Exterior design is done for good looking of the building.
• Component command, model in place then select structural frame. Extrusion and pick a plane
creates the frame work , according to requirement exterior design is done.
