ICEBREAKING

FOR ONLINE
CLASSROOM
1. ‘Two Truths and One Lie’ Icebreaker

Instructions:

1. Provide 3 statements about yourself and you can relate them with the topic that you are
going to teach for that day.
2. Ask the students to guess the line one and the reason.
3. Ask them to write their guessing in the comment column. Include the reason
4. For those who can guess correctly with correct reason will get points for daily
assessments.
5. Announce the answer and the reason on the next meeting.
2. One Word (or One Image) Activity

Instructions
1. Ask participants to choose one word that best describes them or their
life and to explain why.
2. Alternatively, you can ask them to choose an image (they can download
it from the Internet or take a picture with their smartphone, for
example).
3. Ask them to share their answers on the comment column.
 3. Virtual high fives! 
Instructions:
1. Instruct students to find students they can see they have
something in common with, such as they’re both wearing Nikes,
have on green shirts, or wear glasses.
2. Tell students to point out the similarity to the fellow student and
then exchange virtual high fives.
4. Truth or Dare
Instructions:
1. Ask the students to choose “Truth or Dare”.
2. If they choose “Truth”, provide them a
question (or their friends’ question for zoom)
3. “Dare” : Challenge him/her to do an attraction.
5. Home Treasure Hunt
Instructions:
1. Provide your students with a clue. (E.g., An
item in your house that is older than you are,
or something related to the topic of that day)
2. Ask them to find the clue in their house and
capture the photo of them with the clue.
3. Ask them to send the photo on the comment
column of Edmodo.
6. Riddle Game

Instructions:

1. Provide the students a riddle


2. Ask them to think of the answer
3. Ask them to send the answer on the comment column on Edmodo
7. Memory Game
Instructions:
1. Place 20 objects on a tray or a table.
2. Share/show the image / picture to the
students.
3. Stop sharing, then give students a minute
to record as many objects they can.
4. Ask them to mention the objects in
correct order.
8. Lost in space
Instructions:
1. Direct students "to imagine they have been living on the space station
for one year. Suddenly, the computers malfunction, and [they] have
fifteen minutes to evacuate to a space shuttle before all life support
systems fail. They will be allowed to take five items with them.
2. Next, students should then, as quickly as they can, type their name
followed by the five items on the comment column on Edmodo.
