I. Essential Question
What makes motion picture an interesting form of media?
II. Objectives
A. Students Will Be Able To (SWBAT) describe the different dimensions of motion
information and media
B. SWBAT comprehend how motion information and media is/are formally and informally
produced, organized, and disseminated
C. SWBAT evaluate the reliability and validity of motion information and media and
its/their sources using selection criteria
D. SWBAT produces and evaluates a creative motion-based presentation using design
principle and elements
V. Instructions
A. Establishing the Teaching Learning Environment
Teacher (T) will facilitate the following routines
1. Moment of silence
2. Checking of attendance
3. Checking of cleanliness of the room and proper uniform (with patch)
B. Creating Awareness
Activity 1. Guess what?
Students will be divided into three (3) groups to do the following activities
T will play the following:
Soundtrack
Movie teaser
Picture of the main characters
Students will identify what movie title is being describe from the soundtrack,
movie teaser, pictures of the main characters that the teacher played
C. Assessing Prior Knowledge
Activity 2. Charade
Using the same groupings, students will do the following activity.
Instructions: teacher will ask three students to be an actor/actress
Step 1. Actor/actress will pick a piece of paper inside the fish bowl
Step 2. Actor/actress will act who is people involved in making motion
information that they have picked from the fish bowl (actor/actress is not allowed to
speak)
Step 3. Students will guess who are the people involved in making motion
information is being described from the actions of the actor/actress in front.
Note. A group who first guess a correct answer will have the points.

Teacher is expected to give immediate feedback to substantiate the information given to the students.
E. Exhibiting discoveries
Activity 3.
Using the same groupings, Students will watch a movie trailer w/o sound and try
to make up a dialogue using the clues from actions and body language.

VI. Integration/Application
Activity 4.
Students will be divided into three (3) groups, each group will be given different task to
perform in front of the class, students will make a short role play, each group will be given
different types of motion information to perform.
Group 1- Comedy or Humor
Group 2- Drama
Group 3- Romance or Love story
Students will be given allotted time to prepare the task given
Maximum time for presentation is 3 minutes
VII. Reflection
Teacher will ask the students to write their name, what they learned, and any lingering
questions on the sticky notes provided by the teacher, and will be posted to the freedom
wall before they leave the room.
