What is a construction ?
Examples:
•Building with contemporary materials (paper,
cardboard etc.)
•Building from metal.
•Building with wood and nails.
•Assembling found pieces.

Construction and assemblage

Constructions are not only sculptures built from traditional materials. They are also those
made with available modern industrial technology, for example welding. 

Assemblages are sculptures constructed from a variety of ready-made parts and materials.
Sometimes known as "junk" sculptures.
Can be defined by sculpture that moves.
Kinetic sculptures move by an internal mechanism or outside physical force such as water
or wind.
 
Fiber Art is defined by the use of textiles. Methods such as weaving and knitting are
traditional methods of construction

Contemporary art uses other alternative methods, using fibers and paper to create three
dimensional works.

Part 1 : Bird Form (Close composition )

• In this assignment Student will construct a bird form.


• Students are will bring the birds 10 picture reference in the
class.
• Step:1 Students will do the sketches showing top view ,side
view
• Step:2 Students will learn about “Composition” and other
forms of sculpture , (i) Free standing form (ii) Close form, and
students will show the close composition of the bird in their
sketches.
• Step:3 Students are advised to sketch their composition by
using asymmetrical balance.

upcoming class.

• 10 Reference images of birds in close composition


• BBQ (bamboo) Sticks
• Samd Bond Glue.
• Box board Sheet.
• Scissors , paper cutter.
• Sketch book .

Part 2 : Insect Form (Close composition )

• In this assignment Student will construct a Insect form.


• Students are will bring the “Insects “10 reference picture
in the class for sketching.
• Step:1 Students will do the sketches showing top
view ,side view
• Step:2 Students will learn about “Composition” and
other forms of sculpture , and students will show the
close composition of the “Insects” in their sketches.
• Step:3 Students are advised to sketch their composition
by using asymmetrical balance.

• Poly Round Bolster (round foam pipe)
• Samd Bond Glue.
