FOUR FLOORS OF EXHIBITION SPACE, THREE OF WHICH ARE DOUBLE UNDENIABLY MAGESTIC AND THE BUILDING
HEIGHT , ALSO HAVE OFFICE AND STORAGE SPACE FOR MECHANICAL ITSELF MONUMENTAL,ITB WAS NOT PERFECTLY
SYSTEMS.TWELVE RADIAL WEB WALLS DIVIDE THE GALLERY INTO 70
BAYS FOR VIEWING ARTWORK . A LARGE GLASS DOME COVERS THE MATERIALS : SUCCESFUL IN TERMS OF FUNCTION.THE
CURVED WALLS OF THE INTERIOR WERE

CONSTRUCTES USING HIGH STRENGTH R.C.C.
AND RED SANDSTONE.TEMPORARY THE IDEOLOGY OF THE CIRCULATION PATTERN IS A GREATER
STUCTURES ARE PROVIDED AROUND THE ASPECT, TO MAKE THE VISITOR EXPERIENCE EACH AND EVERY
BUILDING. GALLERY AND IN A CHRONOLOGICAL SEQUENCE.
THE DEPARTMENT HAS SHOWCASED ITS OBJECTS IN DIFFERENT
GALLERIES .THE OBJECTS DISPLAYED IN EACH GALLERY HAVE
BEEN PROPERLY CLASSIFIED.
FLOOR PLANS THE RAMP RUNS THROUGHOUT THE MUSEUM,BUT THE DESIGN IS
NOT UNIVERSAL.
EXHIBITION HALLS ARE INTERCONNECTED WITH ONE
ANOTHER WITH A CENTRE CIRCULATION COURT 6 m THE MUSEUM HAS USED ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING BALANCING
WIDE.SEPARATE ENTRANCE FOR VIP AND PHYSICALLY WITH THE SHADOWS TO PREVENT THE DISPLAYS FROM HARSH
HANDICAPPED IS PRESENT.BASEMENT CONSISTS OF AC GLARE.THE INTERNAL COURTYARD IS PLACED TO LIGHT UP THE
PLAN ROOM,STAFF CAFETERIA AND WORKSHOP. CORRIDORS

• IT WAS NOT PERFECTLY SUCCESSFUL IN TERMS OF FUNCTION


• ALTHOUGH NEAT CIRCULATION ROUTES WERE PROVIDED,RAMPS
SINCE THE WALLS WERE SLANTING.
DEMERITS WERE MISSING IN SOME PART OF THE BUILDING ,MAKING IT NOT
A UNIVERSAL DESIGN.

• BUILDING FORM IS MORE ATTRACTIVE THAN THE EXHIBITS.


• RATHER THAN GIVING IMPORTANCE TO THE FORM , FUNCTION
FORM WAS CONCENTRATED MAKING IT A TYPICAL MUSEUM.

• CIRCULAR RAMP WAS DESIGNED WHICH COVERS THE ENTIRE


• CIRCULATION AND ZONING WAS PLANNED IN SUCH A WAY TO
MUSEUM.
MAKE THE VISITOR EEXPERIENCE EACH AND EVERY GALLERY
CIRCULATION SPACE.

• ATRIUM IN THE CENTRE PROVIDES NATURAL LIGHT TO


• ARTIFICIAL LIGHT IS USED IN MOST OF THE BULDING EXCEPT
OPTIMIZE THE BUILDING EFFICIENCY.
