WHAT IS CAREGIVING?
CAREGIVING
⮚ refersto the provision
of assistance to another
person who is ill,
disabled, or needs help
with daily activities.
It often requires attention
to the physical, mental,
social, and psychological
needs, and well-being of
both the caregiver and the
elderly person requiring
care.
WHAT IS A CAREGIVER?
CAREGIVER
⮚ as defined, is someone who is
responsible for the care of
someone who has poor mental
health, physically disabled or
whose health is impaired by
sickness or old age.
According to Baroness
Pitkeathley, you are called
a caregiver if you do the
following:
1. Take care of someone who has
chronic illness or disease.
2. Manage medications or talk to
doctors and nurses on someone’s
behalf.
3. Help bathe or dress someone who
is frail or disabled.
4. Take care of household chores,
meals, or bills for someone who annot
do these things alone.

BLOOD PRESSURE

pushes against the walls of
the arteries. Brought about
by the contraction and

When the heart relaxes, the
pressure decreases and this is
called DIASTOLIC PRESSURE.
