Meeting with parents
Getting started…
• We have received the blue prints from the
groups of each class and approved the
exhibits.
Categories
• Primary 1 – grade 1
• Primary 2 – grade 2 & 3
• Primary 3 – grade 4 & 5
• Middle Category – grade 6 & 7
• Secondary Category – grade 8 & 9
Total – 89 exhibits
Important Dates
• 5th September 2018 – Students will be given
time to set up their exhibits for the exhibition.
• 6th September 2018 – Judging of the exhibits in
the morning
- Inauguration ceremony in the afternoon and
exhibition will be opened to public ( Day 1 )
• 7th September 2018 – Day 2
 5 students from each group will be selected to
present for judging
 All 10 students will then take turns to explain
the exhibit once open for public.
Preparation….
• Each group will be given 4 hours of time in a
week to work on the project, starting from
22nd July, until the last week of August.
• Each group will be given two days in the
week, after the school session. It is at the
discretion of the teacher and parents to make
full use of these hours or shorten the time.
• TWO parents from each group are allowed to
help their group along with the class teacher
and the allocated science teacher. Parents
can decide on two permanent parents or take
turns to help. At any given time, 2 parents
per group is allowed to help the students
• Parents should help in work that students
might not be able to do such as drilling wood,
sawing..etc. Such work can be done outside
of the school, however, if parents wish, they
may bring the materials and work in school
during a weekend. But its always good to
teach them these things!!
• Groups are encouraged to keep record
( photos and videos) of their work progress
which should be displayed as a ppt at the
time of exhibition
• Material cost has to be shared among the
group members.
• Considerable weightage will be given for the
students’ effort and involvement when
• The project has to be completed in the school
and should not be taken out of school.
• If a student has to attend an extra class or
activity, he/she can attend the extra class and
then join the project work. Sometimes there
might be a necessity to prioritize if involved in
any other activity. Teachers are required to
mark attendance of students. Participation
certificate will be given provided that
students achieve 80% attendance.
