• Going from one country to another country for job and to earn money.
• Mostly they go to Malaysia followed by Qatar, Oman, Saudi, Kuwait, UAE, India.
• According to government data, around 1,750 Nepali youths leave for overseas jobs on a
daily basis.
• It uplifts the life standards of people.
• It is a good source of earning foreign currency and remittance.
• Nepal received 784 billion remittances in the fiscal year 2018/019.
MERITS OF FOREIGN EMPLOYMENT

• Earn foreign currency and increase national income


• Reduce unemployment problem
• They learn about new skills and technology
• Experience different language and cultures
• Improve standard of living
• Develops international relations
DEMERITS OF FOREIGN EMPLOYMENT

• Workers are forced to work for long hours with low wages
• Manpower company charges huge sum of amount
• Some of the employees are physically tortured and abused
• Workers are not provided with proper trainings
• Interaction problem
• Some manpower company cheat people
