Learning Model
❖ An example of mathematical game
and the use of learning through it
Year: 2

Topic: Money

Content Standard: 4.7 Problem solving.

Learning Standard: 4.7.1 Solve problems involving daily

life situations.
Activity:
1. Teacher divides the students into two groups.
2. One group will be the salesman and another group will be the buyers.
3. Teacher will provide some sample money to the salesman and buyers.
4. The buyer will spent their given sample money to buy some basic needs from
the salesman.
5. After that, the salesman will calculate the balance money and give to the buyer.
(e.g :The buyer buys a product for RM 6. The buyer gives RM 10 to the
salesman and the salesman returns RM 4 as the balance.)
6. Finally, the two groups ( buyer & salesman) will present to the teacher about
the product thats they bought, the money they purchase for the product and the
balance they get from the salesman.
The use of learning through it

1. The act of paying for something to the seller will help students to learn how much
they should spend to buy the things.

2. Students will also get to know how much they should receive as the balance when
they give more money than the actual price.

3. In the end of this mathematical game, pupil will learn the concept of addition and
subtraction involving money. Therefore, the pupil will know how to give and take the
correct balance when using money in real life situations.
