What is a project?
⚫A temporary Endeavour undertaken to create a unique
product, service or result.
⚫A project is temporary in that it has a defined beginning
and end in time, and therefore defined scope and
resources.
⚫A project is unique in that it is not a routine operation,
but a specific set of operations designed to accomplish a
singular goal.
⚫A project team often includes people who don’t usually
work together – sometimes from different organizations
and across multiple geographies.
Totally different from regular continuous
activities.

⚫ When a company want to develop a product to satisfy the needs of the

existing business processes/ strategy in pursuit of
achieving new goals.

⚫Change in technology is an obvious thing.
⚫ With advancements of technology the output from a
business process can be enhanced. i.e Sales automation
etc..
⚫Self serving counters.
⚫Sale points.
⚫Online Buying.
Customer Need
⚫ If a key customer requires special product or service.
Legal Requirements
⚫ When technology advances business needs changes and so does
changes in regulations and laws happens as per that change.
⚫ Privacy rules in social media Control .
⚫ Facebook political campaign control
⚫ Facebook hate speech control.
