ON
SUPER MARKET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
Introduction
This project deals with Super-Market automation.
 A Super-Market is a self-service store offering a wide
variety of items related to food, household or daily use.
 Includes both purchase and sale of products.
Designed to make the existing system more informative,
reliable, fast and easy for all the stake-holders.
Objective
 To produce software which manage the activities done
in a Super-Market.
To maintain employee, customer, and products details.
 Customer has a unique username and password so they
can check the entire product details.
Product details contains its name and brand and its
divided into many categories.
Manager plays a very important role where he can
check, insert, delete and modify any of the details of
employees, customers and products.
To generate bill of customer purchased products.
Project Description

Based on the transactions in a Super-Market.


First activity is filling up of employee details. Using his
unique name and password he can login into the system.
 Employee can also add all necessary customer details and
products details along with names, rates and brand into the
system.
Manager can also add any details into the system. Any
modification to be done in the employee or customer or
product details can be done only by the manager.
Right to delete any details rest with the manager.
Project Description
Customer wants to know the entire products in the market
available they can check out in the system with customer
registered name and password.
Bill will be generated along with purchased date ,quantity of
items and its total net price.
Problems with the existing system
Manual system faces a lot of inefficiencies.
Hinders smooth flow of work.
Lack of security of data.
Although more man power, But less efficiency.
More Time consuming.
Consumes large volume of paper work.
Needs manual calculations which are prone to errors.
Solution with the proposed system
It is much efficient since its proposed in an operating
system.
It has very smooth flow of work.
Securing data is not an issue since password is mandatory to
login into the system.
Reduces time in calculation of Sales activities..
Less errors in calculations.
To store large amount of data in the database which will
reduce clumsiness.
To reduce paper work; so that users can spend more time on
monitoring the Super-Market.
Applications
Can be used in malls, stores, grocery shops, hop-coms.
This system can be used to develop a new online shopping
purpose.
Wholesalers or retailers can use this software to manage all
their products.
Conclusion
With business opportunities increasing as never before,
companies are in need of efficient management. One such key
area is to maintain a methodical way of managing large
databases, especially in the Retail sector.
DBMS is a vital tool for future growth of business
organizations.
It offers a simple, efficient and reliable way of storing,
managing and accessing data.
The features offered by DBMS are : Query ability, Backup,
Security and Computation which are the needs of a fast-paced
corporate system.
To churn profits, companies need to have a good plan along
with affective DBMS.
