INTRODUCTION
5S is a system to reduce waste and optimize productivity
through maintaining an orderly workplace and using
visual cues to achieve more consistent operational
results. ... A typical 5S implementation would result in
significant reductions in the square footage of space
needed for existing operations

3
4
PROBLEM STATEMENT
1. Low productivity ( even they
have much man power)
2. High rate of rejection
3. Accidents

5
OBJECTIVE

1)To understand the full processing in industry

increase the productivity
2)To understand the various problem present in
industry
3)Find out the best possible solution for the
problems
4) minimize the accident in industry

6
PROJECT PLAN
1. interaction with industry
2. Problem statement study
3. Proposing solution
4. Finalization from college
5. Planning sheet for all processes in 5s
6. Actual implementation in industry
7. Checking results after changes
8. Checking efficiency
9. Report making
10. Complition letter

'3rd S' Implimentation SHINE
As per name indicating we clean up all over factory and given naming to
every station
1) chalani
2) separator
3) polisher1 to 16.
4) separator 2
5) Sortex Machine
6) weight and stitching
7) final product storage
Before making shine implimentation waste materials were stored in all
over floor area.
For that one we have made centrifugal pipe arrangement to collect the TUS
( waste material from varai).
Because of that TUS get stored in other room and we don't required any
more man power to collect that TUS.

18
STANDARDIZE
For implimentation of standardization we made following
changes
1) STD time for worker in and out
2) Making rules like
@ no mobile on workplace
@ weekly off
@ 5s 15 minutes to clean ourself area
( By this way no housekeeping person requirements)

check list for various
machine workstations.

SUSTAIN
For sustaining all changes we have made following changes
•1) Made leaders in a group
•Assign a work to specific person
•. Check list for production
•Check list for machines
•Target sheet on every machine
•Awards to worker
