ART APPRECIATION

ACTIVITY-2

Genard G. Quibong
DIRECTIONS: GIVE YOUR OWN PERCEPTION OF BEAUTY? WHAT IS
BEAUTY TO YOU? DO YOU HAVE STANDARD TO CONSIDER ART AS
BEAUTIFUL?

Give your own perception of beauty?

• Everyone, in my opinion, is beautiful, but not everyone sees it. The expression "beauty is in
the eye of the beholder" is true. Attractive things appear much more beautiful due to our
viewpoint. Not by their appearance, but by their deeds of kindness, love, respect, honesty,
and loyalty, a person is 10 times more beautiful to me.
What is beauty to you?
• Beauty? What does it mean? Putting on makeup? Applying skincare routine? Catching the
eyes of strangers? Beauty can be interpreted in so many ways. But for some reason when we
hear the word beauty they immediately go to the physical aspects. Beauty is more than what
is on the surface. It refers to qualities both internal and external. No Beauty shines brighter
than that of a good Heart" Outer Beauty attracts but Inner beauty Captivates. Mirror lie, they
don't show what's inside.
Do you have standard to consider art as beautiful?
• Art is something that makes you feel something. This reaction might be either favorable or
negative. It can be gorgeous, ugly, or somewhere in the between. It is art if it elicits any form
of reaction that makes you think. Design, on the other hand, must be functional and
purposeful, or it will fail to achieve its goal. Art and design are not the same thing, but they
are frequently used interchangeably. A piece of art intended to appeal to a broad audience
must be beautiful, or it will serve no purpose and will be unlikely to sell. People do not have
to enjoy art to appreciate it. It is just necessary for them to react to it, whether positively or
negatively, for it to be considered art.
