AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY

INTRODUCTION
The Government in every country is challenged. SGD or The Sustainable
Development Goals will change the world in the future. These goals will
make our world a better place. For you and for me and the entire human
race. Non-Governmental organization said that in the year 2030 the world
will change to improve the means of different countries.

The United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to

achieve decent lives for all on a healthy planet by 2030. As things stand,
most of them are likely to be missed. This is partly because they fail to
address human population growth. Positive, empowering population
solutions are key to meeting the SDGs. Read on to learn about the links
between population and each of the 17 goals.

GOAL 7: AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN
ENERGY

The number of people using dirty fuels is still increasing due to population growth and slow progress
in rolling out renewable energy. Global energy demand is expected to increase by 50% over the next
30 years as a result of population growth and economic development. High-income countries must
lead the way in transitioning to clean fuels and support low-income countries to do the same. Ending
population growth will make a global switch to affordable and clean energy a lot more achievable.

In the meantime, how can we help NGO to defeat or solve these problems and situations?. We all
know that we can help many people as simple as by loving our environment. But how can we do that?.
We can basically help our mother nature by consuming eco-friendly resources, machines or things that
will lessen the pollution in our air, and especially by cooperating with others to do the right things that
will help our earth.
ISSUES
Too much emission of Carbon dioxide
and lack of clean energy
Carbon dioxide. This is one of the Biggest problems
in our environment right now. Carbon dioxide
emissions mainly come from burning organic
materials: coal, oil, gas, wood, and solid waste. They
cause climate change by trapping heat, and they also
contribute to respiratory disease from smog and air
pollution.
 The use of sustainable energy is considered sustainable if it meets
the needs of the present. Definitions of sustainable energy typically
includes environmental aspects sch as greenhouse gas emissions,
social and economic aspects such as energy poverty. All energy
sources have some impact on our environment. Fossil fuels, coal,
oil, and natural gas. do substantially more harm than renewable
energy.
SOLUTIONS

Maximize the use of solar energy to produce and provides the needs of energy in our
homes. Using solar. Solar energy systems is revolutionizing the renewable energy
industry in the Philippines. We can create energy solutions across the nation and aim to
sustain a brighter future through building dependable, affordable, and world-class solar
powered system
 Most residential solar panels on today’s market are rated to produce between 250 and 400
watts each per hour.
 Domestic solar panel systems typically have a capacity of between 1 kW and 4 kW.
 A 4 kW solar panel system on an average-sized house in Yorkshire can produce around 2,850
kWh of electricity in a year (in ideal conditions).
 How Many Solar Panels Are Needed to Power My Home? The average home in the PH. uses
897 kWh of electricity per year. If you install the average 250-watt solar panel, you'd need
around 5-10solar panels to generate enough energy to power your entire home.( Average
electricity consumption per household Philippines 2020)
The country’s total installed capacity for 2016 grew to 21,423 MW compared to 18,765
MW from 2015. This increase in capacity is associated with the commercial operation of
new power plants in Luzon such as the 2x150 MW SLPGC Coal Power Plant, 450 MW San
Gabriel Natural Gas Power Plant; Visayas the 135 MW Palm Concepcion Coal Power Plant
Unit 1, 132.5 MW HELIOS Solar Farm; and Mindanao the 2 x 135 MW FDC Misamis
Coal Power Plant, and 150 MW SMC Malita Coal Power Plant. On the other hand, the
country has a total of 19,097 MW dependable capacity or about 89% of the total installed
capacity which has been delivered to the grid.
RECOMMENDATIONS
 Lessen the use of electric energy that produces
dangerous gasses in our environment. Instead of
investing in electrical sources use that money to
produce and provide solar panels. But in solar panels
we need to invest for it’s battery lifetime. Solar
energy is a good alternative to replace fossil fuel as
the major energy source because solar power is
renewable at absolutely no cost to supply energy with
zero maintenance. Therefore, solar energy that is
harmless to the environment will be the major energy
source for future – starting today.
GOALS
● Access to clean fuels or technologies such as clean cookstoves reduce
exposure to indoor air pollutants, a leading cause of death in low-income
households.
● Goal 7 of the SDGs aims to correct this enormous imbalance by ensuring
everyone has access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy services by
the year 2030.
● Lessen energy that contributes to many environmental issues, including
climate changes, air pollution, biodiversity loss, the release of toxins into
environment and water scarcity.
● Heal the world. Make it a better place For you and for me, and the entire
human race. There are people dying. If you care enough for the livingMake
a better place for you and for me.
