1. EXECUTIVE SYSTEM

• President – Volodymyr Zelensky.

2. LEGISLATIVE SYSTEM
• Unicameral Parliamentary System.
• National Assembly is the highest organ having both constitutional and statutory
powers.
• Formulates policies and control all state activities.
• The members are elected through elections and serve for a term of 5 years.
• Maximum no. of members: 500
• Current number of members:499
- Men: 348
- Women: 151
• It has seven committees, responsible for drafting laws, examining bills and
preparing legal reports.
• Age limit to appear for elections: 21
2. LEGISLATIVE SYSTEM
 The highest unit of Ukraine Legislative government is
Unicameral VERKHOVNA RADA (Supreme Council of
Ukraine), composed of 450 Deputies who are presided over
by president.

 Voting System – Parallel Voting with 5% electoral threshold


50% of seats are distributed under party list with 5%
election threshold and 50% through First Past The Post
System.
3. JUDICIAL SYSTEM
The highest organ of judiciary is the Supreme People’s Court, it is
highest court of appeal.
• It consists of Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice, Jurors and
Court Secretaries.
• The Supreme People’s office of supervision and control is
responsible for the uniform implementation of law. The office
is controlled by Procurator General who is appointed to a five
year term by National Vietnam Assembly.
The People’s High Court: 3 High Courts for the North, Centre and South
of Vietnam.
Provincial People’s Court: 63 Provincial Courts.
District People’s Courts: 710 District Courts.
Military Courts.
3. JUDICIAL SYSTEM

Three Levels of Court :

 Local Courts (District Court)-


- 74 District Courts.
- Pechersky District Court is particularly active, rule over most of
business community of Kyiv.
 The Supreme Court –
- The Highest court of appeal.
- SC Judge term is 5yrs.
 The Constitutional Court –
-Special body with authority to access whether legislative acts of
Parliament, Executive are in line with constitution of Ukraine.
4. CONSTITUTION
 The Current Constitution of Vietnam has been adopted on
28th November,2013 by the Thirteenth National Assembly
and took effect on 1st January, 2014.

 It is 4th constitution adopted by Vietnam government after


the independence since political reunification of country in
1976.

 This constitution consist of Preamble and 11 chapters.


4. CONSTITUTION
• Also called as KONSTYTUTSIIA UKRAINY.
• Adopted at 5th session of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 28th
June, 1996 (Constitution Day of Ukraine).
• It consists 15 Chapters.
• Right to amend the Constitution is vested exclusively in
Parliament through special legislative procedure.
• Constitutional Court of Ukraine is the only body who
interprets the Constitution.
5. POLITICAL PARTY
o One Party System
o Communist Party Of Vietnam (CPV), the sole legal party in the state.
o Founded on 3rd February, 1930 by Ho Chi Minh.
o It maintains a Unitary Government and has centralized control over
the state, military and media.
o Nguyen Phu Trong is leader of communist party in present time.
5. POLITICAL PARTIES
 Ruling Party – Servant of the People.
 Leader – Olena shuliak.
- Dominated by New Faces in Ukraine Politics.
- Compaigns for dramatic changes in the Country.

 Opposition Party – European Solidarity.


 Leader – Petro Poroshenko.
- Dominated by Former Ruling Party Members.
- Strongly Anti-Russian and Pro-west.
