INTRODUCTION

SAFETY:
Safety is the state of being “safe”, the condition of being protected from harm or other danger.
 Safety measures are activities and precautions taken to improve the safety i.e. reduce risk related to human
health.
 The safety measures followed in hospitals are

I. Bed control and safety.

II. Fire Drills.

III. No Smoking.
IV. Prescription Drugs.
The major 5 factors that can improve the patient safety in hospitals.
I. Use monitoring technology.
II. Make sure patients understand their treatment.
III. Verify all medical procedures.
IV. Follow proper handwashing procedures.
V. Promote a good atmosphere.

The doctors should have to follow some safety measures in order to improve patient safety.
I. Have to keep hands hygiene.
II. Have to use gloves when they touches body fluids, excretions.
III. Needles should be used only once.
IV. Have to wear gown while operating a patient.
V. Have to keep environment clean.
VI. Have to use facial protection{eyes, nose and mouth}
Safety Tips for Patients:
 Never go alone.
 Meet your care team.
 Know who to call for help and how.
 Ask about every test done.
 Ask about every treatment offered.

 Is something isn’t right, speak up immediately.


 Keep your eye on infection control.
 Keep a record of your hospital stay.
Objectives of Study:
 To promote awareness of health care among all sections of the Indian people.

 To promote research in the fields of health and hospital management in order to improve the efficiency of health
care delivery system.
 To promote the development of high quality hospital services and community health care.
 To identify the strategies and solutions to improve safety of patient.

Scope of Study:
 The study is basically conducted to know the opinion of patients towards the safety measures taken in private
hospitals in Gandhari.
 The perception of patients may vary from each other.
 From these study we can have a better understanding about how the patients are treated in the private hospitals.
 These study will help the hospitals to know about how the patients are satisfied and will know about the safety
measures have to be followed.
 It will also make the awareness to the patients about safety measures taken in hospitals.
Data Collection:
 The primary data of these study is collected from the private hospitals at Gandhari.

 The data is also collected from the health care centres and from the websites.
 The safety measures vary from the private hospitals and health care centres.

Limitations:
 The scope of the project is limited to only Gandhari private hospitals, so we cannot say that the same
response will exist throughout India.
 All the patients are not willing to give the information about safety measures.
