Halloween poster research

Halloween mood board

For this poster design I will be creating a minimalist poster using the
posters I found on google and Pinterest for my personal inspiration, I
will be creating a Halloween poster using Mike Myers mask as the
focus point. The aim I have is to take inspiration from the posters I
found on Pinterest and use the mask to make a point to the
audience.

I would like to use an orange and black
colour scheme as they are the halloween
colours and since the movie is called
"halloween" I feel as if it would connect
itself.
The overlays and textured that used for this
current poster design were found on google
Overlays images and Pinterest. I will be using slot of
/textures dark overlays as it will blend in better when
creating my outcome.

The idea that I have for this

poster is that I would like
This poster will link to my brief as the use the main of the
"halloween" is a classic horror film which mask and have the poster
relates a lot to my brief. Horror purely focus on the
aspect murderer.
Evaluation and improvements
Overall, I believe that I was successful in my attempt to create a "Halloween"
minimalist poster design, I was able to stick to my original idea of having the mask
as the focus point of the whole poster and I did that by placing the mask along the
side as it was the brightest on the poster. As well as placing the mask on the side of
the poster, I positioned the text opposite to the mask on the other side of the poster
going from the top to the bottom. The text I used was white just like the mask,
therefore they link together, and the audience will alternate their view between the
two when looking at the poster. The improvements that I would make if I were to re-
create this poster is that I would like to spend a bit more time trying to make the
poster look more professional and invest some more time into looking for a better
colour scheme that links better to the poster and the movie that it is based off.
