pharmaceutical price survey perceived that
generics were of lower quality than branded
medicines (Batangan and Juban, 2009).

In a recent study conducted by Alam, Caparos,


Deguzman, and Valenzuela (2022) shows that
majority of their participants selected randomly,
primarily target branded medicines because they
are widely used and popular, some also claim
branded is much safer than generic drugs.

This study aims to assess working-age in Brgy. Central Calbayog


City about their opinions, behaviors, attitudes, and knowledge
regarding generic and branded medicines. By understanding the
factors influencing their choices, the research seeks to bridge the
gap between perceptions and realities, fostering a more informed
and economical approach to healthcare. As future healthcare
providers, the researchers aspire to guide patients toward health
while considering economic implications.

The research examines the extent of healthcare accessibility for
persons with physical disabilities in Brgy. Libas, identifying barriers
such as infrastructure limitations, transportation issues, and facility
inadequacies.
Analysis of Support Systems:
Investigating the existing support structures, the study aims
to uncover gaps in assistive devices, trained personnel, and
community-based initiatives, seeking to understand the
shortcomings in meeting the unique needs of individuals
with physical disabilities.
Exploration of Social Dynamics:
Social stigmatization and discrimination often
impact healthcare-seeking behavior.
Evaluation of Knowledge and Awareness:
Understanding the level of awareness among persons with
physical disabilities regarding their rights, available
healthcare services, and potential support mechanisms is
crucial.
Review of Policy Implementation:
The effectiveness of existing policies related to
healthcare access and support for persons with
physical disabilities.

Hospitals provide extensive resources and expertise that enable doctors to rapidly
diagnose, rehabilitate patients, and treat a wide range of diseases. However,
hospital can be a frightening and confusing place to elderly patient. Adult
experiencing fear because of misleading conception when it comes to
hospitalization.

Fear can impact negatively on rehabilitation of the patient which can affect the
upcoming procedure or the receiving of medical care. It may also reduce the
behavioral impulsivity under uncertainty, and increase the adventure index under
certainty in risky decision-making.

An extreme fear of hospitals, is a type of specific phobia that can result in


physiological and psychological symptoms when a person goes to the hospital or
thinks about going to the hospital. It can also result in avoidance behaviors that stop
someone from seeking medical treatment. It is thought that up to 50% of people
experience some from of fear or anxiety when visiting a hospital. However, it is
unknown how many of these people are experiencing fear of hospitals. (Murphy,
2023)

This study aims to determine the causes of fear to hospitalization of elderly patient in Calbayog
District Hospital. In identifying their opinion, researcher can provide intervention to their problem. As
a future healthcare professional, not only we aim for the betterment of our patients but we make sure
there hasn't any hesitations among individuals in seeking help from hospitals and other health
facilities. We demand to end misconceptions against health professional and services, and act as
educators to provide the necessary information that everyone deserves.
