PART A : SUMMARY NOVEL
The Other Side Of Truth novel tells as about the journey of life two
siblings, twelve years old Sade and her brother Femi after the death
of his mother who was killed by Nigeria's corrupt military
government. His murder was related to his father’s writer on
journalist about political and economic conditions in Nigeria. For the
safety of his children, Mr. Folarin (Father) send them to London with
help by uncle Tunde. The journey of two sibling to London was a lot
of trouble, uncle Dele is missing and they did not meet Dr. Solaja
until they meet a new family namely is mama Appiah. Then
beginning started a new life, school and friend. But Sade not give up
looking his father until they knew his father had been arrested by a
Nigeria police. Sade is clever and brave son. She help her father to
out from jail by helping uncle Roy (reporter).

OF TRUTH
• The important of family and another people is strength in adversity.
Like Two sibling , they are alone on the journey, take each other and
not make any trouble.

• Refugees – Sade and his brother fade became a refugees after

getting to London. Part 7-9 page 36-53.

• Freedom of speech – Like Nigeria country, not have freedom to

speak or write about political and economy situation. If not, the
military government will kill and catch like mama. Buki and
Mr.Folarin. Part 1-2 Page 1-17.
PART 2 : FEEDBACK NOVEL
I like this novel and recommend you to read because :
• The other side of truth novel is written to writing based on true story
the critical political in Nigeria. Part 1-2/33
• This novel also have a style of writing that to easy to understand by
readers.
• Guide to pronunciation like Sade is name in Yoruba, a language
with very musical sound. Sade is pronounced something Shad-deh .
• I like this novel because more emotional like sad, crying, happy.
• This book also have interesting and happy ending. I like it.
 PART C (1) : CHARACTER NOVEL

Sade : The main character in the novel and help his father get out
of jail. She also clever girl, smart and brave.12 years old
Fade : Her brother Sade,shy and always carrying her sister. 10 years old
Mr. Folarin Saloja : Father’s Sade and Fade. He is also a very well
known and
Respected Nigeria Journalist. He made many articles about
the corruption in Nigeria.
Mariam ; Sades best friend in London and has faced many challenging
situations.
Marcia : Bully in Sade’s school in class and try hurt Femi.
Mrs.Bankole : the women who helped Sade and Femi get to London.
 PART C (2): PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

• The other side of truth novel have more experiences about my

knowledge english reading and writing. Before that, i never have
finish any novel to read. so, this is a first time i have finish to read a
novel . I like this novel because have good story and easy to
understand. The novel also have journey about two sibiling not
have family member other country , very intersting and full of
questions every part so making me wonder what will happen the
next story.
• I feel more emotion like sad and crying to reading this novel
because from begining part two sibling already not have mother
because was shot by military Negira.
 PART C (3): OPINION ABOUT NOVEL

• I like this novel because its is a real story and give me more
information
About political Nigeria country. In addition, this novel tells the
courage
of a child to help his father from being killed by militarians and want
freedom to speak.
• My Favorite part for this novel is chapter 30-35 because sade and her
father write letter to know situation each other . This novel also have
happy ennding and because they will together again like family.
PART C (4): RECOMMENDATION NOVEL

• I would like to recommend you to read this novel because

the characters in this story are all fictional and we hear
about three political figures who were real people.
• This novel also easy to understand and a language is very
musical sound like Sade is pronounced something like
shad-deh
• The novel have more moral story like brave to take risk
whatever we choose like sade. She help her father out
from jail with guide Uncle Roy(reporter)
