 WHY DID WE CHOOSE THIS TOPIC?
Technology is an ever growing and advancing entity. The elementary schoolers we
will be teaching were born into an already far advanced technological society. Here
are a few reasons we became compelled to research this topic:

● Technology has become so prevalent in today’s society, it is affecting our youth

more and more over time.
● Technology is very hard to avoid.
● Technology is used for many different things (e.g. video games, education,
social media, leisure time).
● What are the advantages? Likewise, what are the disadvantages?

○ As future educators, we need to recognize this and prepare ourselves for the
children who do not know a time before smartphones and tablets. When teaching
these children, we need to be aware of their screen time and observe how they are
developing.
 CONCLUSION

Technology is everywhere. We can’t escape it, and it is making its way to

becoming a major part of our curriculum. As future educators, we need to

recognize this and prepare ourselves for the children who do not know a time
