What is Recruitment

"Recruitment is the process of
searching the candidates for
employement and stimulating them
to apply for jobs in the organisation"

Importance of Selection

It saves management cost required in


recruitment and training.

It saves management time and resources spend


for candidates.

Right candidates for right job increase work


quality and company growth.

Right selection improves company's overall


performance.
Steps in Selection Process
Reception of Applications
Purpose of pre-screening is to reduce a potentially large
candidate pool to a more manageable number.

Screening is conducted by HR Executive in the companies.

It is a sorting process.

Companies take Bio-data/CV from candidates


Primiliary Interview

Interview is taken by HR Manager or Senior HR Executive to


shortlist the right candidates.

Communication skills is tested in interview.

Various other skills like behavioural,knowledge,English proficency


is analysed.
Application form is to be filled by candidates which
contains basic data as below.

Employement Test

Various employement tests has been


taken by various companies as per their
requirtment for job
• Aptitude Test(decision making skills,mental ability)
• Intelligence Test(logical reasoning
ability,data interpretation skills,basic language
skills)
• Personality Test(emotional ability,interpersonal
skills,ability to work in group)
• Performance Test(knowledge skills,speed and
accuracy for job like typist and data entry)
Employement Interview

Interviews can be conducted by HR Manager or by


a panel of interviews who are generally experts.
Various questions ask to the candidates to check
weather candidate fits to the job perfectly.
Reference Check

Refrence check is done to check the


honesty about the candidate and
information provided by the candidate is
right or wrong.
• It reveals fraud candidates
• It verifies the accuracy of information

Medical Examination
Candidate has to submit medical certificate issued by
medical professional like doctor.

Medical Certificate certifies that the candidate


is physically fit to work in the company.

Physical examination involves complete body check-up


by doctor.
Final Selection
Finally job offer letter is going to the
candidate who is finally selected for the job.

Job offer letter contains the details of


your job like salary, date of joining and job
description.
