About 150km of the Moroccan Cost in


Atclantic Ocean.

History,
 founded by Juan Rejon on 21 June,1478 with
the name “Real de Las Palmas”.

He was the head of the invading Castilian


army , which then engaged in war with the
locals.

The white towns
Its located in Andalusia in Spain.

A series of whitewashed towns and large


villages in Spain.

The area has been settled since prehistoric times.

Iberian , Roman and Berbers are some of the


settlers.

Its was exactly during Roma times that
whitewashing introduced.

But it was later during 14th centuries when


whitewashing exterior and interior walls of
houses and churches.
1 All of the villages are characterized by
whitewashed walls and red or brown tiled roofs.

Local institutions manage archeological


museums with Roman.

Other dedicated to local customs , crafts or


trades.

Some of the villages of interest are the one close


to Ronde and Arcos de la Frontera .

Valle De Los Caidos
Name in English-Valley of the Fallen.

It is located in the Guadarrama Mountain


range , outside of Madrid.

It is about 68km north of Madrid.


1 The most controversial monument in Spain.

It is an enormous stone crucifix rises 500ft out of


a rocky mountaintop.

There is a sprawling Benedictine monastery and


a basilica craved out of the mountain.

It is synonymous with Francisco Franco ,the


general who ruled Spain from the end of its
bloody civil was in 1939 until his death in 1975.

When he died , become the Vally’s most


notorious inhabitant.

His body was buried under a huge stone slab.


1 People began to push for the removal of
Franco’s body because they argued there was
no Franco’s monument place in a democracy
for a man like Franco who killed thousands of
Spaniards in the name of fascism.

In Oct/2019,Franco’s body was digged up and


put to a graveyard on the outskirts of the city.

Franco still has a supporters in Spain.

Some people even see Franco as the symbol of


a traditional Spanish Catholic life .
1 Franco had gained absolute power over the
country ,he wanted a monument to represent his great
disgraceful success .

He order to build in 1940.

The construction of the Vally took an enormous


human death.

An estimated 40,000 prisoners worked on the project.

The Vally opened in 1959.

Fascists from all over Europe would visit to pay their


respects and mark his death with flowers every year.
The great Mosque of Cordoba

It is located in Cordoba ,the Spain region


of Andalusia.

Opened in AD 987.

The area is 8600 sqm and the length is about


2400 sqm.

Franciso de Paula del Villar
It is located in Barcelona,Spain.
This project was designed by Franciso de Paula del Villar in
1882.
It started in 19 March 1882.
An ambitious proposal for the church of the future.
Gaudi would see finished but he died in 1926.
In 1936,this place is vandalised during the Spanish Civil war.
In 1986, the construction work began on the foundation for
all.
In 2005, the nativity façade and crypt are named UNESCO
world heritage.
In 2010,the foundation works were completed.
In March 2020,The construction stopped to Covid-19 .
Oct 2020 , the construction work resumes .

La Sagrada Familia is home to the tomb of
Antoni Gaudi.

There are three facades .

Nativity Façade was completed.

The Passion Façade.

The Glory Façade.


It will have 18 towers;

12 of the towers will represent the apostles,

Four of them will represent the evangelists,

One will be designated for the virgin Mory ,

The last one ,the highest on in the middle , will


represent Jesus Christ.

However, there are only eight towers now.

Aside from the religious symbols,there are
two you should look out for;

-first the interior pillars actually resemble


tree and is look like the real tree.

-second is also a tortoise and turtle holding


up these pillors representing both the earth
and the sea.
