What is a Narrative?
★ A narrative is the way a story is pieced together
○ A story that connects and explains a set of events and experiences

★ How can the narrative of a poem be different/ similar from the narrative of
another written text (such as a novel or a short story)?
○ Rhyme, rhythm, similes and metaphors to create a narrative
○ Narrative poems are typically longer and they tell an overarching story just
like a novel.
