What is a Narrative?
A narrative is the way a story is pieced together
A story that connects and explains a set of events and experiences
How can the narrative of a poem be different/ similar from the narrative of another
written text (such as a novel or a short story)?
Rhyme, rhythm, similes and metaphors to create a narrative
Narrative poems are typically longer and they tell an overarching story just
like a novel.
They have a plot, characters and a setting like a novel too.
Most narrative poems have only a single speaker: the narrator.
