CONTEXT & PROBLEM STATEMENT


Context
Background of problem
• India has one of the largest population of young adults / youth – age range of 18-30
• Unfortunately, due to lack of top tier educational institutions, youth face 3 kinds of challenges
1. They are not aware of different career options (including post graduate programs) out there
2. They are aware of career options but don’t have the right guidance to achieve their dreams
3. Even within jobs, youth find that their college education doesn’t completement the job that they are doing

Solution
• In order to solve this challenge, 4 friends from a top college started an EdTech firm (Career Edge), which provides
mentorship and career guidance to youth
• The platform has 100+ mentors working in top tier companies (or studying in top tier post grad colleges)
• Through this platform of 100+ mentors, the company delivers solution via 3 ways
1. 1:1 Mentorship – Dedicated hourly session with the mentors for personalized guidance (includes B-school
applications
2. Bootcamps – 1-day bootcamp where expert mentors talk about different career options (higher education
programs) and how to get there
3. Cohort based courses – dedicated month-long courses providing deeper guidance on career options / how to get
there (with bonus stuff like collaterals, free 1:1 session, recordings)
4. On demand content – Video content
