INTRODUCTION
Information Technology has become part of every business. But investments in IT are seen
not yielding requisite business benefits and justifying new IT investment has become an
area of focus. This course aims to look at IT investments in strategic perspective plus when
new IT investments are to be made, enabling a strategic note on ho such investments will
benefit business. This is useful for both consultants working in IT industry having to justify
why customer should invest and also for internal IT team professionals to justify to their top
management.

COURSE OBJECTIVES(CO)
1. Explore different IT investments and does it provide competitive advantage
2. Understand elements of IT strategy framework and how do we build one
3. Understand with examples how IT strategy is used or present in different industries
4. Understand how to build an IT strategy with a sample case
