“Are Pulley Exercises Initiated 6 Weeks After
Rotator Cuff Repair a Safe and Effective
Rehabilitative Treatment?”
Hypothesis: “Rotator cuff repair patient treated with pulley exercises would have increased
scapular substitution and inferior patient determine outcome scores, range of motion and strength
compared with patient treated with an alternative rehabilitation program without pully”
Conclusion “A rotator cuff repair rehabilitation program that uses pulley does not result in inferior
outcomes, as determined by patient determined outcome scores, measurements of scapular
substitution range of motion, and scaption strength.”

“Immediate and short-term effect of kinesiotaping on
muscular activity, mobility, strength and pain after
rotator cuff surgery a crossover clinical trial”
Purpose: To determine the immediate and short-term effects of shoulder KT on
muscular activity, mobility, strength and pain after rotator cuff surgery.
Results: “Modification in muscle activity were observed with KT. Major changes in
terms of decrease recruitment of the upper trapezius were observed with KT. Also
increase flexion ROM at 6 week, but the differences with the no tape condition were
insufficient to be clinically important”.
