About Us
American Institute of Chemical Engineers ITS
Student Chapter is an organization formed in 2017 as
part of AIChE International.
Our focus is to promote professionalism and to connect

Chemical Engineering and other Students with others on
a global scale.
ASAP (AIChE Safety Awareness Program) is one of event that held

by AIChE ITS-SC as an answer for future engineers who want to learn
about safety awareness in an industry.
This event have 3 main agendas, briefing session, safety certification

on SAChE website (self assessment test), and webinar to deepen your
understanding about safety awareness with our speaker
The Safety and Chemical Engineering Education (SAChE)

program, initiated in 1992, is a cooperative effort between
the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and
engineering schools to provide teaching materials and
programs that bring elements of process safety into the
education of undergraduate and graduate students studying
chemical and biochemical products and processes.

equipment
• Identify typical ignition sources and other potential hazards
• Execute initial “awareness-level” response actions

How to Join?
1. First of all, you need to have student member to get SAChE Training
for free. To create a new student member, visit
www.aiche.org/community/membership and click this button:
2. Then, you need to fill in your personal information, contact information,

username, and password
3. Then, fill in your degrees information and make sure you checked the ‘I am a
student’ checkbox
4. You can skip this section

6. Your student member process has finished, make sure the checkout amount is
$0.00 and then click continue
7. Then, visit www.aiche.org/academy (you should login first) and choose one
of the e-learning course available, for example : Introduction to Hydrogen
Safety for First Responders (ELA253)
8. On this page, click on the checkout button

9. Finally, click once more on the checkout button. After that, you can start the
training program
10. You can start your training by clicking on this menu and choose “My
eLearning Courses”
Procedure Certification
1. Sign up for free as an AIChE International Member

2. Choose the module
3. Finish the online training within before 27th January 2022 at 10 PM
4. Send your certificate pdf to https://bit.ly/ASAPSubmission
5. If you have any questions, you may ask via the WA group discussion or the contact
person.
6. Attend our webinar to deepen your understanding with our speaker, and ask questions
you may have from doing the online training.
