INTRODUCTION
 Goal 2 : “Take urgent action to combat climate change and its
impacts”
FAST FASHION INDUSTRY

The Activity of the Industry

 The fast Fashion industry is an important aspect
of the modern world, and the fourth sustainability
goal of the UN is adopted.
 The fast fashion industry is termed as arguably
the third-largest production industry in the world.
 The industry has ensured the better consumption
of customers with the regular update of the
product portfolio of the firms.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

 Advantages of company
 Companies have the advantage of updating their product
portfolios regularly and ensuring better customer engagement.
 The companies have seen a growth in their sales performance
as it doubled the sales value since 2000, and in 2014, it
touched the value of 14 times the world population.
 Disadvantages of the company
 The shorter lifestyle of the products creates an issue for the
stock management of the organizations.
 The average clothing collection is to be made double for the
customer preferences.
RECOMMENDATIONS

 Cost-cutting and aggressive supply

chain management can work for
better performance management.
 Regular update of the clothing
collection has proffered social
sustainability.
ELECTRONIC PRODUCT INDUSTRY

 Mobile devices, different circuit boards, television, and related products are included in the electronic product

industry (Lu and Weng, 2018).

 This particular industry has enhanced its values by over 24.33% in the last five years

 Market demands have been increased highly for the industry

 The electronic industry is currently facing issues related to supply chain disruption due to t0o covid 19 pandemic.

 Lack of innovation and opportunity have been noticed within the industry (Wang, 2020)

 Lack of management stability has also triggered challenges in the fluent business construct

 Change of climate has also been considered as one of the salient causes of raising issues in similar contexts.

URGENT ACTIONS TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE & IT’S IMPACT

 In order to mitigate issues related to climate change, a

green electronic supply chain can be used.

 The application will reduce environment-related issues

and pollution to some extent (Kätelhön et al., 2019).

 The application will help the industry to minimize CHC

emissions in the environment due to the manufacturing

process of electronic products.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES

 In terms of nutrition-related chronic diseases, the risk of food corporations is

always increasing.
 Companies must deal with concerns such as global public commitments to
food reformulation, healthy lifestyles, and customer information, among
others (Yach et al., 2018).
 Chemical and biological dangers are more prevalent in the food business.
ACTIONS TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE & IT’S IMPACT

 The food business can help achieve SGD by ensuring that everyone
has access to safe and nutritious food that promotes their health and
wellness (SDG,2018)
 The food sector may embrace sustainable consumption and
manufacturing methods that will reduce waste while still ensuring
people’s health.
 Introducing the organic way of disposable boxes or disposable
storage which are eco-friendly like wooden cutlery is a massive step.
 Health surveillance and health wellbeing inspections can be used on
a regular basis in the food sector to ensure that there is no
contamination or the production is both consumption and eco-
friendly.
CONT..

 The food business requirements to utilize fossil fuels and limit

the utilization of water in the creation or production cycle
 The utilization of land should be diminished with the end goal of
agribusiness.
 Great quality composts and pesticides mostly organic farming
(here organic composts as well) should be used for developing
harvests and to avoid contamination of soil.
 Organic manures and fertilizers usage can keep away from
contamination of water that can affect the wellbeing of
individuals (Dbocchealth, 2021).
 Biodiversity should be expanded.
TAKE URGENT ACTION TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE AND
IT’S IMPACT ON THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY

 In recent years, the automotive industry has experienced both

stunning and spectacular growth as well as staggering economic
collapse (Bae Mustafee, Lazarova-Molnar & Zherg 2022). This is
because the automobile industry, like other massive endeavours such
as electric and textile, is heavily influenced by new direct investment
(FDI), global gatherings, and general trade.
 The stock organisation is also progressing as a result of the business’s
increasing specific dependence on suppliers.
 Suppliers are currently seeking to direct complicated subsystems
rather than a level-based stock structure. (2018 , UK Essay)
TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT & ENVIRONMENT/ CLIMATIC
CONSCIOUSNESS: TOWARDS ACHIEVING THE SDG GOAL

 In this season of imaginative movement in the auto business, automobiles

alongside natural & social awareness ought to be united, there is a necessity
for the business to encourage capable and low-power vehicles that limit the
ozone-exhausting substance effect and shield our current environment.
(Kumar and Alok 2020)
 Changing into electromobility : One methodology to C02 discharge is
electromobility. BMW for example is dependably expanding the level of
their electric drive structure which will assist with decreasing the
greenhouse effect as well as air quality in the metropolitan regions. This
suggests progressing into an electric drive structure by the auto business
wont just accomplish SDG objective 13 yet in addition work on the climate.
SOLAR ENERGY POWERED CARS

 Drivers to exhibit contemplations with the option of being charged by solar-powered energy have been a huge step
forward for the company in terms of maintaining its maintainability.
 It is critical for the organization to take steps by the principles of sensible improvement (Islam,2020)
 The organization has been a driver towards the practical utilization of energy through activities such as the move
to electric and battery vehicles over vehicles that run on conventional energy.
SUMMARY

 Climate change is a demonstrated truth.

 A dangerous atmospheric deviation has made genuine changes in the planet causing, rising ocean levels,
outrageous climate occasions, the vanishing of species, and a lot more.
 As people we can dial back a worldwide temperature alteration by executing little more practical activities inside
our local area and help execute change to prevail.
 Simple habits could actually help us fight to combat the climatic changes in a massive way; Reduce emissions
(here automobile usage to be minimal), Save energy (electronic industry), Practice 3 R’s reduce reuse recycle, Eat
low carbon ( here food and beverages) & Dress (climate) smart (here fashion industry)
 Think globally, act locally. Your activities are required in the battle against climatic change.

CLIMATE CHANGE BOON OR BANE

PRO’S CON’S
 New positions/jobs  Storms and severe climate change
 Competitive advancement  Higher demise/death rates
 Development in the economy  Contamination in air
 More unadulterated air to breathe  Acidic seas
 Progress in technology  Higher rising ocean levels
COP26 : WORLD AT ONE MINUTE TO MIDNIGHT OVER CLIMATE
CHANGE – UK PM BORIS JOHNSON

 The UK has sworn to decrease its fossil fuel by-products to net-zero by 2050,
and Johnson has supported the extension of an environmentally friendly power.
 Climate change is one of the world's most pressing problems. Governments
must promise more ambitious cuts in warming gases if we are to prevent
greater global temperature rises.
 Saying Britain wanted to lead by example, Johnson made a commitment to
increase the finance the country provides to developing countries, which often
face the worst environmental impacts, by 1 billion pounds by 2025 to tackle
climate change.
 Britain says it has doubled its International Climate Finance commitment to
11.6 billion pounds over five years in 2019, and the new pledge would take
that to 12.6 billion by 2025 if the country's economy grows as forecast.
