DICEPHALI
C
Kembar dempet. Jika gen Goosecoid
diekspresikan secara berlebihan di
mudigah katak, hasilnya adalah berudu
berkepala dua. Mungkin ekspresi gen
ini secara berlebihan menjelaskan
penyebab kembar dempet tipe ini.

TUBE
DEFECT
Defek Tabung Saraf (Neural Tube
Defect, NTD) terjadi ketika tabung
saraf gagal menutup. Jika tabung saraf
gagal menutup di regio kranial, maka
sebagian besar otak gaga! terbentuk,
dan defeknya disebut anensefali. Jika
penutupan gagal terjadi di mana saja
dari regio servikal ke kaudal, maka
defeknya disebut spina bifida
TERATOMA
EMBRIOLOGI

OROFARIN
G
Teratoma orofaring. Tumor ini dapat
berasal dari PGC atau dari sel-sel
epiblas (lihat Bab 5), yang keduanya
bersifat pluripoten. Jaringan di dalam
tumor mencakup turunan dari ketiga
lapisan germinativum dan dapat
mencakup usus, tulang, kulit, gigi dan
sebagainya
