Rosa Kammermeier

submitted a delightful
application  that landed her a position as a 2017
Adobe Creative Resident.

Here, we walk you through what we loved about

her application to give you a few ideas of how you
can build a stand-out application for the 2018
program year.
Rosa’s project name made her
proposal memorable. Because it had a
name, we could easily refer to her
project when discussing applicants.
Her stylesheet helped us quickly and
easily understand her project concept.
It also proved that she is an effective
visual communicator—a crucial skill
for a Resident.
On her stylesheet, Rosa used some of her own lettering styles, which
created continuity between her past work and her project proposal.
This communicated to us that Rosa
knew how to make a concrete plan
and how to break it down into
actionable steps.
Rosa’s design sense was apparent with this plan slide. We really loved how minimal, yet thought through it was, even as an early concept.

Rosa showed us that she had
considered how her audience would
stay up to date on the progress of her
project. We knew she would want to
engage the community through her
work—another important skill to have
as a Resident.
Above all, remember that you are applying for a
position as a professional visual artist. Use the
application to showcase your process and be
creative!

We can’t wait to see the ways you make your

application stand out and hope to meet you soon!
