 The dog or domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris) or also called can is a carnivorous mammal.
Thanks to the domestication process, the dog's body has adapted to a certain kind of food, its size or
size, its shape and its coat are very diverse depending on the breed. It has a highly developed hearing
and smell, the latter being its main sensory organ. In small breeds it can reach a longevity of about 20
years, with careful attention from the owner, otherwise its average life is around 15 years.

The enormous variety of anatomies in different dog breeds makes it difficult to determine the average size and weight of dogs. With a
height of between 71 and 90 cm, the Irish Greyhound is the tallest breed of dog — although some Great Danes exceed this size,
reaching up to 107 cm. The smallest breed of dog is the chihuahua, measuring 15-25 cm at the withers. With an average weight of
between 1.5 and 3 kilograms - and in some cases, it may not exceed 500 g, Chihuahuas are also the lightest dogs, English Mastiffs and
Saint Bernards are the heaviest dogs, with a weight that can reach more than 75 or 80 kg.
 Dogs are very well adapted to living within homes located in various habitats: prairies,
urban or rural environments, wooded areas, mountainous areas, etc., as long as they
belong to breeds with adequate anatomical characteristics
