1. Executive summary:
The Poultry industry is the fastest growing sector in Indian agriculture. Egg being an
excellent source of proteins is fast becoming a favorite among urban Indians. India, today
is the fourth largest egg producer in the world. It is an important source of subsidiary
income to small/marginal farmers and agricultural laborers. The manure from birds
provides a good source of organic matter for improving soil fertility and crop yields. Since
agriculture is mostly seasonal, there is a possibility of finding employment throughout the
year for many persons through poultry farming. With the adequate infrastructural
facilities especially for poultry farming production has become increasingly popular in and
around . The present demand in the area is more. It is increasing day by day & the present
strength of the flock in the area is not in a position to meet the growing demand. include
increased adoption of integrated farming system, contact farming, awareness of people
about diet and health, cost effectiveness of poultry meat compared to other meat, its low
fat content, superior protein quality and change of life style of the people are also
responsible for spectacular development of Poultry Sector.

1.1 Purpose :
We want to initiate this program because, in Jorhat until now there’s no
competitor business that provides home delivery of poultry products to the locals at
a very affordable price just through an App and enquiring facility. So we found this
as window of opportunity and desire to grab it as it is open for a limited period of
time. Page 3

2. Production Plan:
Our business is mainly based on services in dairy and meat production. The part of the production we do is
just the production of dairy products and eggs and to make it possible we will contact with food and grocery suppliers to
provide us a ingredient which is necessary in production of good quality dairy products and eggs for our customers and
later we direct deliver the final product to our customer as per order and retailers and whole sellers for business
purpose.

 2.1 Description of venture:

Our mission statement is to provide quality dairy products in the local, regional environment. According to this
statement, our company's core product is to produce good quality dairy products especially for everyone. And
providing home deliveries with our user friendly app “The Farm”. The location we choose is for now at the City of
Jorhat and its outskirts which is in less commercial area and helpful for us to maintain the health issues which are
highly concerned. A large size Area is selected and making sure the availability of electricity and infrastructure for
our farm and water supply line to decrease the cost of starting the business, and good advantage of this place is that,
it is near to our house & reliable for transportation & market place is near which is helpful for our customer & for us
to easily target large market, Our office is situated in a Office building where individual can directly place orders or
buy directly from us and we also provide a website of our business & our own built-in Application “THE FARM” and is
available to download for both in Androids & IOS to find us and booking dairy products online. Our company is
entirely a new venture so we don’t have a history. The idea came to my mind by seeing the need of good quality
dairy products and providing home delivery facility with an affordable rate so just by viewing on our app or website
we make it easier & reliable in all the possible ways . We also gathered and had done some survey and interviews
from the current local shops and retailers regarding dairy products and by doing this we recognize the market gap
and to fill this gap we plan to enter in the market with full packages of providing good quality of dairy products as
per requirements of the area.

3. Marketing Management
As there are many other local small scale supplier available in the market who provides same dairy
products and services to their customers, so to attract the customer from them we will use more
advertisement strategy for reasonable price to gain competitive advantage from others.

 3.1 Distribution:
We provide all the services including dairy products, meats, eggs, bulk sum of deliveries and will
also deal in poultry feed, poultry feed powder, poultry feed enzymes. We will also provide home
deliveries of orders and In future we use exclusive distribution in different cities.
 3.2 Promotion:
Our promotion channels through which we will advertise our business will be:
o Newspaper
o Pamphlets
o Word of mouth
o The Farm APP & Website
o Facebook, Instagram Pages & Whatsapp business
The market we targeted is around Retail shops, whole sellers and shops and target them by
distributing pamphlets pen flaks outside shops (if they allow). We will speak with shop owners,
whole sellers and others and offer to deliver them through our service. We will also use Newspaper
Advertisement for our promotion, we also use internet technology to give the information of our
existence for the customer out from the city .

Page 7
 3.3 Competitor Analysis:
As we will be the first mover in this online app & website for dairy products availing
discount & offers at a very affordable & home delivery at ease and there is no any
strong competitor exists in Jorhat city and its outskirts that provides same services.
There are other farms that do not provide home delivery but only have take away
service and charge high amount for that and on the other side they don’t provide
quality packaging of the products.

 3.4 Customer Analysis:

Our target audience is those residents that stays in different areas of Jorhat & and its
outskirts who can order from their home with the help of an app. Those who cannot
go and purchase from shops can order through our app directly. People want an app
that is user friendly and easy to place orders. And we will provide them all these
service at a reasonable cost. At start we have a limited market size but with the
passage of time we grow and increase our market size. We will manage our starting
2 years in small area but after 2 years our revenues will increase so we will expand
our own farm in the future which will consist of large rooms for poultry and advanced
packaging machines so that we can package and give deliveries of bulk orders of
eggs and meats.

To start this business we manage to collect 3 lakh rupees by the contribution
of combined two partners and other collected funds. By using this amount
we able to cover some of the initial cost to start business and rest we able to
manage by retailing and direct selling.

 4.1 Return or Profit Expenses:

The income statement we have calculated is on monthly basis and annually
basis for revenues we have assumed that dairy products will be occupied by
customer and it is increased time to time. The variable cost we calculated
on a monthly bases and we have decided that we will recover our fixed cost
In 1.2 years because the estimated of 1st annual income statement result
came in negative, that means we got losses, and in next year we able to got
positive result, and we estimated to cover our fixed and variable amount in
1.2 years.
